KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A water main just off of Ward Parkway and 67th Street broke on Monday, and crews have yet to stop the water from flowing down the street.
Neighbors have dealt with several water main breaks over the last couple years, but they said city crews usually fix them a lot faster.
Sarah Greenwood and other neighbors called Water Services on Monday when the main broke.
"Everyday I drive by this water main to and from school, and I just can't believe it," Greenwood said.
When hours turned into days and city crews only arrived to put up cones and tape, she kept calling.
"Come Thursday, nothing had changed called again and they said it would be about seven days," she said.
But that's seven days too long for Greenwood and the rest of the people who live along 67th.
"I think the city should take responsibility and certainly care enough to remedy situations like this a little more swiftly," she said.
41 Action News reached out to Water Services Friday afternoon, but our calls were not returned.
