KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Wreaths Across America is working to honor fallen veterans this holiday season.

The organization is hoping to raise 1,000 wreaths to place on the graves of veterans buried at Fort Leavenworth cemetery.

The wreaths cost $15. For every two purchased, the organization will donate a third one for free.

"We have Veterans Day. We have Memorial Day. But we never have enough days to honor and remember all those that serve," Diana Pitts, with Wreaths Across America, explained.

Wreaths Across American Day is Dec. 15. You can donate by going to www.wreathsacrossamerica.org.

The deadline to donate is Monday.
