KANSAS CTY, Mo. - An Amber Alert has been issued for two boys in Georgia, and authorities in both Missouri and Kansas think they may be traveling through the area on their way to the West Coast.
Police in Roswell, Ga., issued the alert for 9-year-old Ben Cleary and 7-year-old Henry Cleary. They were last seen in Roswell traveling with their father, Daniel Cleary, 46.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Daniel was supposed to return the boys to their mother on Wednesday. Surveillance photos showed the two boys and their father at the Walmart in Jackson, Tenn., on Sunday and Monday.
Daniel is described as a white male with brown eyes and gray hair. He is six feet tall and weighs 220 pounds.
Ben has brown eyes and brown hair, is 56 inches tall and weighs 66 pounds. Henry has green eyes and brown hair, is 53 inches tall and weighs 60 pounds. They were both last seen wearing light blue winter vests.
Police believe they are traveling in a 2002 silver Jeep Grand Cherokee with temp tags #10742627. The Jeep may be towing a light-colored trailer with one axle, according to authorities. The Jeep may also have a cargo bag on the roof.
Police said they may be traveling west on Interstate 40. Anyone with information should call 911 or the Roswell Police Department, 770-640-4160.
