DAYTON, Ohio (WCPO) - Authorities say a plane carrying a wing walker has crashed at an Ohio air show, killing the pilot and stunt walker.
Dayton International Airport spokeswoman Linda Hughes and Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Anne Ralston confirmed the deaths to The Associated Press on Saturday.
The Dayton Daily News reported the plane burst into flames when it hit the ground near the air show's runway. A fire truck extinguished the blaze. A video posted by the Daily New also shows the plane as it went down.
The rest of Saturday's show was canceled as a result of the accident, according to the Daily News.
Authorities have not identified the pilot. Jane Wicker was the wing walker aboard the plane, the Daily News states. No one on the ground was hurt, according to officials at the scene.
According to her website, Wicker has flown planes since she received her pilot's license in 1989. She began wing walking in 1990 after responding to a classified advertisement for a winger walker at the Flying Circus Airshow. She was the primary attraction for 12 years, her site bio added.
