KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A computer problem at United Airlines did not affect any flights at Kansas City International Airport, a spokesman there said.

There was only one delayed United departure noted on KCI’s website – Flight 4875 to Denver/Durango - but the majority of the airport’s arrivals for United showed no flight status.

Flight information on www.flykci.com is provided by the airlines, according to the website.

“We're aware of a computer issue affecting some of our flights,” said a tweet from United. “We're working to resolve it. We'll update as we have more details.”

United Airlines operates out of terminals A and C at KCI.

The Associated Press reported passengers in several cities say the outage stranded passengers at airports across the country. . Some fliers said they had been waiting nearly two hours to depart.

"Our system is up,” a second tweet, about 30 minutes after the first, read. “We’re resuming operations for affected flights.”

This is at least the third major computer outage for the airline since June.
