KANSAS CITY, Missouri - A Missouri watch dog investigation released a report this week on behalf of Will Royster, highlighting voter fraud in the August 3rd primary between Royster and John Rizzo.
The report says at least four people who voted for Rizzo lived outside the 40th district, but used addresses inside the district to vote.
“We need to put an end to fraud even if there is a hint of it; that’s the election board’s responsibility – to ensure fair and proper elections,” said the group’s Adam Schieber.
Royster has filed a lawsuit contesting the one-vote margin after a judge ruled in favor of Rizzo.
Royster supports say they didn’t present this information to the judge during the suit because they didn’t have the info until now.
Rizzo told NBC Action News he hopes his opponent “comes to respect our democratic process and finds a way to accept loss with grace and dignity.
