GARDNER, Kan. - World War II-era planes filled runways at New Century Airport on Sunday afternoon.
Those who attended got an exclusive look at the cockpit of the B-24A Liberator plane of the Commemorative Air Force. The aircraft was used to bomb targets in the war.
Veterans say they are happy to see so many young people at today's show.
"They don't teach any of this stuff in school anymore about none of the wars," World War II veteran Marvin Andrews said. "They’re too busy with their computers and their cell phones; but it makes me feel good."
The air show started Thursday and ended on Sunday.
