MERRIAM, Kan. - Two pedestrians are injured after being struck by a car in Johnson County, Kan.

The crash occurred in the 9400 block of W. 55th Street in Merriam around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. The two pedestrians were taken to the University of Kansas Hospital -- one with serious injuries, the other with moderate injuries.

According to Merriam Police, a truck was making a delivery to the IBT Central Distribution Center when it took a turn too sharply and ran over two employees sitting on the curb. The incident is under investigation.
