LEAWOOD, Kan. - A local Army Reservist and a Marine received the royal treatment as a thanks for serving our country.
The nonprofit organization Cars 4 Heroes gave away cars to Jesse Thorsen and Kaitlin Boyer on Thursday night.
Thorsen is in the Army and Boyer is a Marine.
"I don't have a reliable car for my wife and two daughters. It's going to make a big difference to make sure they can get around easier," said Thorsen.
But that's not all they got -- Whole Foods also filled each car with groceries.
"My luck has been so bad, and I'm so excited right now," said Boyer.
Cars 4 Heroes is an organization that provides free transportation to veterans and their families in need.
