MISSION, Kan. - Claire Boldry ran into a burning apartment building Tuesday night to help rescue twenty adults and two children from the Hillsborough Apartments in Mission, Kan.

Northeast Johnson County Fire Department crews responded to the scene at 5413 Foxridge Drive around 8:50 p.m. They were able to get it under control at 9:17 p.m.

Before fire crews arrived, Boldry went door-to-door alerting tenants of the fire.

"We found one family. It was a grandmother, a mom and two little girls," Boldry said. "We brought them outside, gave them some clothes."

No one was injured in the blaze.

Eight units were directly impacted by the fire, four of which sustained significant damage, according to fire officials. Crews are still checking other units for water damage.
