GARDNER, Kansas - A downed power line knocked out service to about for several hundred Wednesday morning people in Johnson County.
It happened around 6 a.m. in Gardner.
Gardner Energy electric director Bill Krawczyk says lightning struck a power pole just after 5:30 a.m., knocking out a 7,000 volt wire.
Krawczyk said most of the town, between 500 and 750 households, were without power until about 7 a.m.
