MISSION, Kan. - Several people are without a home Friday night after a two-alarm apartment fire in Mission.
Crews were called out to the blaze at the Wellington Club Apartments in 4900 block of Broadmoor Street around 8:20 p.m.
The fire is believed to have originated in a unit on the first floor and spread to apartments on the second and third levels. Eight other units sustained smoke and water damage.
The three fire-damaged apartments are uninhabitable. The Red Cross is providing assistance to the six adults and two children who were displaced.
