LEAWOOD, Kan. - Police have identified the two Leawood, Kan., residents found dead in a murder-suicide.
According to Leawood Police, Elisabeth Juergens, 48, and Jurgen "Eric" Juergens, 55, were found dead in a home on the 2200 block of W. 104th Street Tuesday afternoon. Authorities officially ruled it a murder-suicide on Wednesday. Both victims died of gunshot wounds.
Police said the deceased were related. Their bodies were discovered when another family member called the police to check on their welfare.
There was no sign of forced entry on the home. Authorities say there's no risk to the surrounding houses or the community.
