OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - UPDATE: All lanes were open by 4:55 p.m. Friday.
The left lane of eastbound Interstate 435 just east of Quivira is closed, causing a severe backup on both directions of the highway.
The closure is a result of a car accident that occurred around 4:15 p.m. One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the wreck.
