KANSAS CITY, Kan. - One woman died in a five-vehicle wreck Tuesday afternoon in Kansas City, Kan.
The crash occurred on westbound Parallel Parkway at 91st Street. According to police, the woman, identified as 90-year-old Thelma Hodge, was driving the wrong way when she hit the other four vehicles.
Two people also sustained minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals.
Esther Lorke was driving the first car that got hit. She said she couldn't believe when she came up over the hill and saw a car coming straight at her.
"I turned my car, I hit a car, and then I ... look in my mirror and all the cars behind me are getting hit, one right after another," she said. "It happened so fast."
