Five children transported with minor injuries after school bus crash in Kansas City, Kan.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Five children were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries after a metro school bus crash Monday morning.

It happened a little after 7 a.m. near 55th and Metropolitan in Kansas City, Kan. A pickup truck was also involved, a Kansas City Kansas Fire Department dispatcher said.

The injuries were believed to be very minor, according to the fire department dispatcher.

The children were middle school students from the Turner School District, a district spokesperson said.
