KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Through their tears, family and friends celebrated the life of Casey Knight.
"The fact that she's gone…we can't wake up and see her. We can't see the smile and hear the jokes. She was a funny girl. She was happy she was there," her cousin Adrienne Watkins said.
Earlier Wednesday family and friends revisited the area where Casey died and tried to piece together what happened.
"The thought that you would leave somebody like that, if you knew she wasn't in the car why would you leave," Watkins said.
Knight was killed Monday night when the car she was driving in crash at 12th and Dodson in Kansas City, Kan.
Police say four of the kids in the car with her fled the scene shortly after the crash.
"Everybody is going to hang out with some wrong person at some point in time. You can't really judge them. I think everyone who is still living should be in trouble for it," Watkins said.
