KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Kansas City, Kansas police surrounded a house in the 400 block of N. 15th St. on Friday afternoon. The standoff ended after a peaceful surrender around 4 p.m.
Police said a burglary suspect is inside the house and refuses to come out of the home. He was spotted in a nearby house around 12:30 p.m. Police said he left that house, ran down the street and entered the home they have surrounded.
There were no reports of injuries in the standoff situation, but a local school took precautions. Resurrection School at the Cathedral was on lockdown. They released students early under the supervision of police officers.
