KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Kansas Highway Patrol investigators had to shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 at 110th Street Saturday night following a deadly crash.
Kansas City, Kan. Firefighters and paramedics were first dispatched out to the crash just after 7 p.m. When they arrived, they located three cars involved in the crash and transported two people to area hospitals.
An adult passenger in one of the cars, identified as 65-year-old Robert Groves, of Bonner Springs, Kan., later died from his injuries.
Investigators shut down the section of the highway for about 90 minutes Saturday night to complete their investigation. All lanes are back open.
