LAWRENCE, Kan. - Matthew W. Headly, 37, has been arrested in the robbery of a Lawrence U.S. Bank. At on W. 23rd Street on Thursday.
Lawrence police identified Headly as matching the suspect’s description on Thursday evening, but didn’t have sufficient evidence to make an arrest.
On Friday, Headly was taken into custody near Colby, Kan.
Headly allegedly gave the bank teller a note demanding cash. After receiving the cash, police say he fled on foot.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
