PAOLA, Kan. - UPDATE Sun. Feb. 12 - The Miami County Sheriffs Office now says that the man who pulled someone over was a police officer, but he was from a city other than Paola.
The officer pulled over a newspaper delivery driver early Saturday.
The Miami County Sheriffs Office later received a report that a man impersonating an officer had pulled someone over.
They say that the officer pulled the vehicle over because the vehicle was driving suspiciously.
UPDATE Sat. Feb. 11 - Miami County sheriffs say that the man they were seeking has turned himself in. The identity of the man has not been released.
PREVIOUS - The Miami County sheriff's office is looking for a man who is pretending to be a police officer.
Shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday, someone reported a person pulling people over south of Paola, Kan.
Witnesses described the man's car as a dark, two door coupe similar to a Chevy Cobalt with a single red or blue light.
The man was described as a white male, wearing oval glasses and a black, hooded jacket.
