One person killed in Miami Co. crash

MIAMI COUNTY, Kan. - One person was killed in a single-car crash in Miami County, just south of Stilwell, early Wednesday morning.
Authorities said the driver, 31-year-old Anthony Bowers, of Cleveland, Mo., hit a ditch on the south side of the intersection at 231st Street and Mission Road.
Bowers was not wearing his seatbelt, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other passengers were in the car.
