OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Construction on a development at 135th and Nall in Overland Park is expected to begin in November.
The developer behind Prairiefire at Lions Gate updated the Overland Park City Council Wednesday Night on his plans.
Fred Merrill says they’ve had several new tenants sign up for a spot, and he hopes to have things finalized with the council by the end of October.
One of the biggest parts of the project is the American Museum of Natural History.
“That will house traveling exhibitions from the American Museum of Natural History in New York,” Merrill said. “It’s the first time they have done this type of collaboration outside of New York.”
The museum will be ready by the end of next year.
