Overland Park, Kan. - Two men robbed an Overland Park convenience store early Sunday morning. The men carried a rifle and a handgun.
Police said at about 6:30 a.m., two men entered the Kicks 66 Convenience Store in the 8100 block of West 151st Street and demanded money and other merchandise from the clerk.
The pair ordered the male clerk to the ground and fled in a rid mid-sized vehicle northbound on U.S. 69 Highway.
The clerk was not injured. Police said one of the men was wearing a brown jacket, red shirt, blue jeans, white shoes, black gloves and a black ski mask. That man was carrying a pistol.
The other man, however, was carrying a rifle. Police said he was last seen wearing a dark, hooded jacket, blue jeans, tennis shoes and a black ski mask.
According to police, a customer entered the store a few minutes later and helped the clerk call 911.
