LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - A suspicious envelope was found at the federal prison in Leavenworth Monday afternoon.
A hazardous materials team was called to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons around 3:15 p.m. Monday after an envelope containing an unknown powdery substance was found.
The Leavenworth Fire Department, U.S. Prisons, and Fort. Leavenworth Base security investigated the package.
By 6:15 p.m., authorities gave it the "all-clear". No one was injured.
