KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City, Mo., Mayor Sly James and Mayor Mark Holland of the Unified City Government of Wyandotta County and Kansas City, Kan., announced a $600,000 grant on Thursday morning.
The grant will go toward helping both cities turn brownfield properties into green space, new business ventures and community gardens.
According to the Wyandotte County website, brownfield properties where reuse and redevelopment may be complicated by hazardous, polluted or contaminated substances.
