BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - Three dogs and one cat died when the Blue Springs home in which they lived caught fire early Thursday morning. Seven people are also displaced.
Authorities were called to the 600 block of Walnut just after 2:30 a.m. after heavy fire was showing from the first floor.
Two residents were pulled from the basement window, and a fourth dog was given oxygen and resuscitated.
Crews had the fire under control shortly after.
The Red Cross has arranged for the family to stay in a local motel.
