BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - Police are still searching for three men involved in a shooting in Blue Springs, Mo., Tuesday evening.
An ice cream truck driver was shot during a robbery near 29th and SW Jackson streets just after 4 p.m., according to the Blue Springs Police Department.
The driver, a 47-year-old man, was shot in the head once and elsewhere on his body two other times. He was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
One of the men drove off in a maroon sedan with a bungee cord strapped to the hood. The two other men involved took off on foot.
Officers detained two men near 37th and Jackson for questioning. Police believe the men could be witnesses or involved in the shooting.
