KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Authorities are searching Smithville Lake for a possible drowning victim after a boat was recovered near the Route W dock Friday morning.
The Missouri Highway Patrol Marine Operations Troopers are leading the search for the man who authorities say is in his 70s. They say his vehicle was located in a parking lot by the lake.
Crews are conducting surface area searches and also utilizing sonar.
