EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. - A 55-year-old man died in an industrial accident Friday morning at an Excelsior Springs plant.
Police identified the victim as Robert Walker of Excelsior Springs..
Walker worked for the company for 30 years, police told 41 Action News.
The accident occurred when a three-ton, I-beam suspended lift/crane fell from its overhead beam and hit Walker and another worker, police said.
The two were working on an injection molding machine under the crane, according to police department news release.
The second worker suffered non life-threatening injuries.
The plant makes plastic products for industrial and commercial use.
