INDPENDENCE, Mo. - Five people were injured in a two-car crash Wednesday night in Independence, Mo.
According to Independence police, a silver Jeep heading eastbound on Highway 24 crossed the center line and hit a black Pontiac Grand Am going westbound around 9:10 p.m.
At least one person had to be cut out of a vehicle, but none of the injuries were life-threatening.
Both directions of U.S. Highway 24 at Claremont Avenue were briefly closed after the wreck. The highway reopened around 9:45 p.m.
