INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - An Independence woman said her missing father may have disappeared because he is running from his problems.
Agustin Sotelo, 68, was last seen near his home in the 4000 block of S. Union on Oct. 14.
His daughter said on the day he disappeared, doctors recommended amputating his leg.
He has diabetes and may not have his medication with him.
"I thought this would be the first year after 25 years that I would have my dad home for Thanksgiving. Now I don't know if that will happen or not," said Lilia Salinas his daughter.
Sotelo is described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet tall, 130 pounds, with gray hair, brown eyes and glasses.
His daughter says he has a large wound on his left leg and has trouble walking.
If you have seen Agustin Sotelo or know anything about his whereabouts, you are urged to call Independence police at (816) 325-7852.
