INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Less than 24 hours after the Independence School District announced Superintendent Jim Hinson’s departure for Shawnee Mission schools, the school district announced another administrator’s departure.
Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Schools Jason Dial is leaving the district to become Boliver’s new superintendent.
“Dr. Dial’s departure will be felt throughout the Independence School District,” Superintendent Jim Hinson said in a release from Independence schools. “His strong leadership skills, his wealth of knowledge about data, and his willingness to lead a wide variety of district programs will be missed.”
Hinson said the district is excited for Dial.
“While this is an excellent opportunity, the move comes with mixed emotion,” Dial said in a release from Independence schools. “I will miss all of the students I’ve watched go through the ISD and those who are still attending our schools, along with all of the colleagues I’ve worked with.”
Dial has spent the last seven years with Independence schools, starting as principal at William Chrisman High.
