Man dies in 4-vehicle crash on I-70 in Independence

INDEPENDENCE, Mo - A 56-year-old Blue Springs man died Tuesday night in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Independence.
According to the Independence Police Department, a minivan collided with a passenger car just before 11 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the interstate near I-470.
Both cars spun after impact, and a second passenger car and a tractor trailer struck the minivan, police said.
The passenger in the minivan, identified as Dao Lin, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
