KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A young man who said he owes his life to a police officer surprised him with a surprise thank you.
Da Nearle Clarke, 19, was thrown from his car during a crash back on June 4, 2011.
Clarke lost control of his car on 63rd Street near Hardesty, when the car rolled three times, and ejected him.
Officer Sebastien Hanriot was responding to another call, when he saw the crash happen.
Hanriot ran over and found Clarke was laying on the side of the road unconscious and blood coming from the back of his head.
The officer kept Clarke stable until paramedics arrived.
Once Clarke started working as a volunteer for the police department, he decided it was time to find the officer who helped him.
The on Thursday, he got the chance.
"Well I'm just really happy to meet the oficer because he rescued me and saved my life," siad Clarke.
"It feels good, its really neat," said Hanriot.
