KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A group of local cyclists upset at the Parks and Recreation Department can now ride with ease.

Cyclists were disappointed because the department told them they couldn't ride their bikes through the Christmas in the Park display at Longview Park.

The city originally deemed it too dangerous. But on Thursday, they changed their minds after 41 Action News reporter Syed Shabbir told the story Wednesday night.

The Christmas display will open 30 minutes early at 4:30 p.m. the Saturday before Christmas so cyclists can ride through.

All the bikers will have to have helmets, headlights and taillights.
