KANSAS CITY, Missouri - A man continued his crusade Saturday to find justice for a friend that was shot and killed at a 7-11 store.
M.D. Alam held a town hall meeting Saturday afternoon pushing for the Tony Singh bill.
Singh was shot and killed in March during a robbery.
The bill would add more protection to employees at businesses, including extra workers after 10 p.m. and the installation of bullet-proof glass.
“It is time for Kansas Citians to wake up,” said Alam. “We are trying to give a wake-up call that we need to be standing against the crime.”
Alam is hoping his proposal becomes a statewide law in Missouri.
