KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Police investigators completed their report on the car crash last month at Christian Academy Daycare at 27th Street and Monroe in Kansas City, Mo.
On July 30, a silver Cadillac came crashing into the front of the daycare while children were sleeping. The Cadillac was legally parked outside the daycare. The police investigation revealed that the driver of the Range Rover hit the parked Cadillac sending the Cadillac crashing into the daycare.
The report released Thursday, concluded the driver of the Range Rover involved in the crash was the primary contributing factor in the collision.
"The primary contributing factor in this collision was created by the driver of the Range Rover failing to give his full time and attention to the safe operation of his motor vehicle by not recognizing that the Cadillac was parked in the outside travel lane on 27th Street, and failing to change lanes and avoid a collision with the parked motor vehicle," the report said.
No charges have been filed in the case.
