OAK GROVE, Mo. - Friends and relatives of an Oak Grove, Mo., man killed in a hit and run crash three years ago are adding more money to the reward fund, in hopes of solving the case.
Edward Falke was killed in 2009 when he was hit by a car while walking along the 300 block of Southwest 15th Street in Oak Grove.
Friends and relatives added an extra $10,025 to the reward fund bringing the total to $20,025 for information leading to the arrest in the case. The public is asked to contact the Crime Stoppers organization at http//www.KCrimestoppers.com or by texting TIP 452. The Crime Stoppers telephone number is 816-474-TIPS. All tips are confidential.
Falke’s mother, Jean Falke, is thankful the reward fund has been increased, and hopes the person who hit and killed her son will be brought to justice.
"Its tough not knowing exactly what happened," she said. "He was critically injured as someone drove off. We need to know what happened."
On the anniversary of his death, Jean said she went to the Blue Springs, Mo., park where Edward and his brother played as children. She said she finds comfort in the happy memories on this unhappy day.
But only one thing will bring her true comfort – knowing what happened the night her son was killed.
"Someone has to know what happened, and family and friends would very much appreciate knowing what happened," she said.
