KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A suspicious package found Monday afternoon in a Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City proved to be harmless.
The package was found near 80th Terrace and Oak Street.
A neighbor found some kind of large firework near a trash bag in a backyard.
The owner of the house was not home so Kansas City’s bomb and arson squad attempted to determine if it is an explosive or not.
Around 6 p.m., the bomb robot was put back in place and police gave the all clear.
A police spokesman said the suspicious package was a fake bomb vest used as a Halloween costume.
