LEE'S SUMMIT, Missouri - A school bus full of children rolled on to its side Monday afternoon in Lee’s Summit on a private road near Chipman Road and Cedar Creek Lane shortly after 3 p.m.
The bus was coming from Campbell Middle School and there were between 20 and 30 students on the bus.
According to officials, the location of the crash is difficult to access and the Lee's Summit School District is sending two additional buses to the scene. The students will be transported to Cedar Creek Elementary at 2600 SW 3rd Street where they can be picked up by their parents.
Sgt. Chris Depue with the Lee's Summit Police Department said the slick roads contributed to the cause of the crash.
Authorities indicate that no one suffered serious injuries, but some students did report some scrapes and bruises.
We have a crew on the way to the scene. Stay with NBCActionNews.com for the latest information.
