LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. - Authorities say a car hit and injured a 5-year-old boy in Lee's Summit, Mo., late Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred near Chipman and Howard around 4:45 p.m. Lee's Summit Police say the child is conscious, but bleeding. His injuries are not life threatening.
According to police, the boy darted out in front of a Jeep Grand Cherokee in an apartment complex parking lot. The incident is still under investigation.
