LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. - A local family will be watching for their son when a new television show debuts Monday night.
Larry Trice, whose stage name is Lawrence Alexander, will appear Monday night on “Smash” on 41 Action News as a dancer in the show.
His mother says he’s been treated like royalty, getting his own trailer and make up person. He’s been cast in two episodes, but plans to try out for a speaking role.
“He’s living the dream and we are so proud,” said his mom, Pam Scott. “He’s excited and he’s always saying , ‘Mom, is this real?’ Cause he’s like, ‘I’m doing it. I’m living in New York. I’m on Broadway. I have a speaking role in this one.’”
The show is somewhat of a reunion for Trice. He went to school with Katherine McPhee, who also stars in the show.
