KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Lee’s Summit North graduate is trying to make it big in Hollywood on 'American Idol'.
Luke Minx, 19, auditioined for American Idol in St. Louis and moved on to the Hollywood round.
Minx said, "Most of my success comes from my parents and my family. Giving me that confidence in myself to go out and perform everyday, and it just makes me so happy. It really just changes the way I perform."
His dad, Matt, said his family is proud and happy for him because "he works so hard for it."
