LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. - A Nevada man died in Lee’s Summit Wednesday night when he lost control of his motorcycle near Interstate 470 and US-40 Highway.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said 21-year-old Shane Bliss, of Henderson, crashed into the cable barrier in the median at about 7:50 p.m.
He died at the scene, according to a preliminary crash report from the Patrol.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The incident marks the second motorcycle accident this week in Lee’s Summit, as 36-year-old Chad Fritz of Lee's Summit was killed Tuesday when a vehicle failed to yield the right of way near Jefferson Street and Blue Parkway.
