LIBERTY, Mo. - A former Kansas City man told 41 Action News Tuesday he saw Shon Pernice throw something in a dumpster three years ago.
Floyd Williams reported it to police at the time and they interviewed him.
Williams said he would frequently see Hispanic people dumping things in the dumpster.
One day, his girlfriend said she saw a white, clean cut man dumping. Williams quickly got up and got a good look at the man through his window.
A little more than a week later, Williams saw Shon Pernice’s picture on the news and said that’s the guy who was dumping something in the dumpster. He called police. They picked him up and brought him for questioning. They checked the dumpster, but it had already been emptied.
Williams, who now lives in New Orleans, was ready to testify for the prosecution.
