NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. - North Kansas City's newly-elected mayor Don Stielow spoke out against the potential sale of North Kansas City Hospital.
Stielow won nearly 70 percent of the vote in a landslide victory Tuesday night, and he said fighting for the hospital was the main reason why he ran.
He's lived in North Kansas City for more than 40 years and said the hospital is part of the community.
He told 41 Action News he wants to go back to what he calls "the old way of doing things," and for the people to have more of a say. He said he'll fight for city officials to be more transparent, too.
