RAYTOWN, Mo. - Three apartment units are damaged and six people are displaced following a fire at a Raytown apartment complex Sunday.
Authorities said they found smoke and fire coming from a third floor apartment in the 9200 block of E. 54th Terrace, which they contained by around 12:30 p.m.
No injuries have been reported. Fire officials said there was no working smoke detector in the unit where the fire began.
Damage is estimated at $300,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
