RAYTOWN, Mo. - The Raytown Fire Department rescued a dog from inside a burning home Monday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to 65th amd Claremont Avenue about 1:00 p.m. That's between Raytown and Woodson Roads.
Fire crews said the flames quickly spread from the garage to the roof.
The dog was the only one home at the time.
Fire crews pulled the animal from the home, and gave it oxygen.
The dog is said to be doing OK.
No word yet on the cause of the fire.
