NEW YORK (AP) - A new report says about 61 percent of Facebook users have taken a break from the site for at least a few weeks for reasons that range from being busy to getting bombarded with "too much drama."
A Pew survey released Tuesday says that of American adults who use the Internet, 67 percent are on Facebook, making it the dominant online social network in the country.
But Facebook users come and go. One-fifth of Internet users who don't use Facebook say they have used it at one point.
People's reasons for a Facebook break are varied, the top being too busy. Privacy and security concerns were low on the list. The study of 1,006 U.S. adults was done in December. It has a margin of error of 3.6 percentage points.
